Patient Access

Changes to Access as a result of COVID-19.

The practice remains open for all essential primary care problems but on the advice of Health Protection Scotland we have put in place a process whereby everyone is screened by telephone prior to being seen.

For the safety of patients and staff, the online appointment booking system is not available. If you feel you require an appointment, please phone the practice and our staff will be able to help you. We have increased our number of telephone appointments, and offer video consultations using Near Me. If we do need to see you face to face we will be wearing PPE to protect you and us. We ask that anyone entering the building wears a face covering unless exempt or a child under 5.

All patients will still have access to the care they require.

We appreciate your patience and understanding at this time.

Please note if you wish online access  to order repeat prescriptions (and to make appointments when normal access resumes) you must first speak to the practice to get a PIN number  and a copy of the Terms & Conditions before registering. Usually you need to come in to the practice to do this but we are able to email the information to you due to Covid 19.

COVID 19 VACCINATION

Who will be offered the COVID-19 vaccine first?

The vaccine is now available and NHSScotland are prioritising the people who are at greater risk. The first people to be offered the free vaccine are:
• residents in a care home for older adults and their carers
• people aged 80 and over
• frontline health and social care workers.

Vaccination for other groups will begin as soon as the supply of vaccine becomes available. The order in which people will be offered the vaccine is based on advice from the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI). For more information and to see the JCVI priority list visit nhsinform.

NHS Scotland strongly recommends you get the vaccine as soon as it is offered to you.
Our practice will offer vaccination to those age 75 or above who are able to come to the practice. We will be in touch with you to arrange an appointment.
Other teams will deliver vaccination to those who are housebound, and other eligible groups, as vaccine supplies allow.
